Panic Disorders and the Truth About Medication

When people feel ill or THINK they are ill and find that they can't overcome their illness on their own they decide to turn to medication. If you have a headache you may want to take a pill because you know that the pill will do its magic. From the moment you take the pill, simply by swallowing it your subconscious knows that your headache will be gone and the chemicals that are in the pill help speed up the process.

Some people who are in a loop of anxiety or suffer from a panic disorder and can't find a way to overcome it might feel that they are sick, except it and turn to medication. The truth is it doesn't have to be that way. As a matter of fact you don't need medication to overcome any panic disorder. You can "heal" yourself on your own within a matter of weeks.

Understand, a panic disorder is not an illness, but when you use medication to help you relax you make those panic attacks a priority in your life you make them more and more intense and at some point you may think that the medication is what heals you, as if without them, you will go insane.

Did you know that everyone has panic attacks? Everyone has them in different situations. When you might feel anxiety, others might feel relaxed. However, in a different situation a person might feel the anxiety and you will shine, acting with no fear and full with confidence. It all comes down to what triggers the panic attack or fear so to speak.

When turning to medication to overcome fear, where in fact there is no real threat to your life, because others are relaxed in the same situation, you are potentially making the "problem" worse. You might think: "But Joel, I can't seem to find a way out of my panic disorder." That is because you don't know what to do and you are tired of them attacking again and again.

Once you know what to do when you have a panic attack and you'll see that it is gone using a simple technique you'll be off your medication in no time at all. If you are thinking about taking medication like volume Prozac and the like, I recommend you not to. I have used them and I had social anxiety for years. The medication is not what cured me.

I won't lie they did help me relax but I didn't want to live that way. I know how you can stop those dreadful feelings of anxiety without medication. You know what's even funnier? Once I tried the techniques my anxiety was gone within 2 weeks. I have heard of situation where people had panic attacks for over 20 years. They have used medication which only calmed them down, but even after 20 or 30 years they were cured within weeks and some within days! Believe it or not!
